Description and Requirements About Our Team We are building Lenovo's next-generation AI platform across Windows, Android, and Cloud. As Director of SRE & Delivery Engineering, you will own the reliability, performance, observability, release, and QA foundations that enable Quantum to ship AI experiences at scale. This role is responsible for creating the engineering discipline, tooling, and operational rigor needed to support a hybrid AI architecture running across millions of devices. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role focused on stability, quality, CI/CD, and release velocity ensuring teams can prototype quickly while integrating safely into a structured release train. Location: Chicago, IL or Morrisville, NC highly preferred. Open to remote work in the US with travel. What You'll Do * Build and lead the SRE & Delivery Engineering organization, including reliability, performance engineering, QA automation, observability, and release engineering. * Define and enforce SLIs, SLOs, and system health standards across Windows, Android, and cloud services. * Own CI/CD architecture, release pipelines, OTA rollout strategy, rollback policies, and overall release governance. * Establish system observability: metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, alerting, error budgets, crash funnels. * Build a modern QA engineering function with test automation, regression testing, scenario testing, and model/agent evaluation gating. * Partner closely with Platform, Core Intelligence, Experience, and Cloud leaders to identify systemic risks early and ensure safe integrations. * Drive the engineering development lifecycle across prototyping, feature development, integration, and release. * Create an incident response framework, on-call rotation, root-cause analysis, and reliability playbooks. * Partner with TPM to ensure predictable delivery cadence, release readiness, and integration timelines. * Raise the reliability and performance engineering culture across the entire organization. Basic Qualifications * 12+ years in SRE, reliability engineering, QA automation, or release engineering, with at least 5 years leading teams. * Experience building and running SRE, DevOps, QA, and Release Engineering functions in complex distributed systems. * Experience in CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, performance profiling, incident management, and system health metrics. * Experience with client + cloud architectures (Windows, Android, cloud services). Preferred Qualifications * Familiarity with AI/ML systems, model evaluation, or hybrid cloud/on-device inference is a plus. * Proven track record operating in fast-moving engineering organizations with a focus on quality, stability, and release velocity. * Ability to work across multiple time zones and with engineering leaders in USA, China, India, and Brazil. * 25% global travel ability The base salary budgeted range for this position is $220K - $320K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.Lenovo's various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.

Why This Role Matters This leader will be the backbone of Lenovo's AI Engineering organization - ensuring that Quantum ships reliably, safely, and at scale.
