Inova Fairfax Medical Center is looking for a dedicated Quality Analytics Consultant to join the team in Sterling, Virginia. This role will be Full-time Day Shift Monday-Friday.

Quality Analytics Consultant Job Responsibilities:



  • Abstracts and analyzes data by using available data systems, applications, and medical records.
  • Facilities department/service line to identify meaningful quality, safety, and performance indicators.
  • Provides /training programs and survey preparation and coordination.
  • Supports medical staff departments, sections and ongoing professional practices with evaluations and peer review quality improvement committees that are accountable to oversee the quality of patient care, treatment and services provided by practitioners with privileges.
  • Assists medical, department and committee leaders in establishing priorities, selecting indicators to be monitored, managing the flow of information and ensuring follow-up on action items.
  • Prepares medical records, agenda, minutes and other supporting documentation as required.
  • Provides effective facilitation of process improvement teams, medical staff meetings, FEMA and Quality Council.
  • Leads and/or participate in committees and task forces relative to the Joint Commission and regulatory compliance.
  • Serves as an educational resource and consultant to physicians, staff and management related to regulatory standards.
  • Provides effective facilitation of process improvement teams, QRTs, meeting management, medical staff meetings, FMEA and Quality Council.
  • Collaborates with medical staff, nursing/ancillary staff and organizational leadership in identifying complex quality and safety of care issues in order to develop action plans and outcome evaluations.
  • Proactively educates leadership and staff regarding regulatory issues, new statutes, guidelines in addition to safety, quality and process improvement activities.
  • Use of appropriate computer applications in data analysis and to facilitate data based decision making.
  • Organizes, compiles and reports quality and safety data to staff, physicians and leadership to identify trends, establish priorities and recommend improvement activities.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Years of Experience: 2 years of experience in process improvement concepts/tools, root cause analysis, and facilitation of work groups
