DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerk Typist 2, you will provide clerical assistance for the public housing sector and perform a variety of general office duties to help ensure office operations are conducted efficiently. Your duties with our team will include:
- Scheduling of various types appointments
- Helping to perform calculations and complete processes to determine applicants' eligibility for our housing programs
- Assist in preparing and maintaining documents, sending letters to tenants
- Processing payments
- Answering telephones, messages, voicemail, and email
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
- Any combination of equivalent experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lehigh and Northampton counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
