ABOUT THE ROLE

The Superintendent II is responsible for day-to-day oversight of line crew operations, ensures that the quality of work and materials is upheld, and that the budget is followed as planned.

Essential Functions

  • QA/QC Management
  • Equipment review and scheduling
  • Develop and implement project procedures
  • Responsible for overall efficient use of materials and equipment
  • Responsible for the training and development of field crews, foremen, and general foremen
  • Ensure that on-site personnel comply with project procedures as well as safety program requirements and construction practices
  • Document procedural violations, provide appropriate notification, and recommend/implement corrective actions as required
  • New hire orientation and training for field personnel
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a lead role within the electrical field required
  • Must have experience in all aspects of low voltage to high voltage commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
  • Experience working with union trades and contacts
  • High school diploma or GED

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple field installation crews
  • Strong understanding of electrical installations standards and codes as well as construction practices used for electrical construction
  • Proficient in the development and implementation of company and contract procedures to include safety, compliance, and documentation of a project
  • Certified in CPR, First Aid, OSHA 10
  • Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting plans, specifications and contract documents
  • Proficiency with MS Project and MS Suite such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Strong work ethic, good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Salary commensurate with experience.
    • Paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
