Description and Requirements

The Lenovo quality team is seeking an entry-level Software Customer Quality Engineer for ThinkStation Desktop and other PC devices. In this position, you will be performing failure analysis on customer defects, issue resolution, and implementing future product improvements. If you are passionate about debugging software/OS issues, solving complex problems, and are not afraid to pick up a screwdriver, we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analysis of product defects by using AI-enhanced technologies to investigate problems
  • Collaborate on defect resolution with product owners
  • Drive future product improvements and innovations in AI
  • Perform onsite customer investigation as needed
  • Investigate software image compatibility and deployment issues including, but not limited to: Windows OS, applications, drivers, firmware, BIOS, remote deployment, networking, system performance, & benchmarking.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with PC hardware components and software environments.
  • Interest in AI technologies and their application in diagnostics and product development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Windows OS deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of BIOS, firmware, and driver interactions.
  • Exposure to benchmarking tools and performance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools.
