Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operator A is responsible for senior level handling of one or more of the following areas: receiving, warehousing and distribution functions for raw materials, in-process goods, released finished products and supplies.

Reporting Relationships:

This job reports to: Manager, Warehouse.

Reporting directly (or indirectly) to this position are the following job titles: Not Applicable.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Goods receipt, put-away, order picking, order packing, order shipping, and order posting;
  • Cycle counting and general record keeping;
  • Utilize automated shipping systems to process domestic orders for shipping;
  • Reorder and maintain adequate level of shipping supplies;
  • Replenishment of inventories and shipping stations;
  • Contribute to improvements in warehouse operations;
  • Receiving, Warehousing and Distribution function for raw materials, in-process goods, released finished products, and supplies;
  • Maintain records of material movement within and out of facility in accordance with Company procedures;
  • Reconcile material discrepancies and coordinate paperwork;
  • Organize and maintain good housekeeping in warehouse;
  • Operates Forklift as required;
  • Provides senior level expertise to Warehouse employees including:

    • assigns and monitors employee's work
    • trains new or less experienced employees
    • helps to resolve any problems or issues that may arise
    • mentors and coaches new and less experienced employees
    • acts as role model and a positive influence for other employees

  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned;


Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Prior experience in standard inventory controls and practices;
  • General mathematical skills;
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow the company quality policy;
  • Experience in control of documents and material tracking;
  • Experience in company database transactions, bar-coding and inventory management systems;
  • Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds;
  • Must be licensed forklift operator;
  • Good communication and computer skills;
  • Good housekeeping and record skills;


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Warehouse and prior experience in manufacturing facility;
  • Possess a desire to improve skill level and knowledge base;


Education:

High School diploma or GED is required.

Compensation

The anticipated Hourly Rate range for this position is $16-18.50 Per Hour plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in a warehouse environment. Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be proficient with Forklift operations. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when working in the warehouse or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
