Haskell's Design & Consulting Team unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. Our diverse and innovative team allows Haskell to serve our clients with multiple project delivery methods including design-build, engineer-procure-construct, fee-for-service, or consulting services. These services allow our team to form a strong rapport with clients, marshalling them as they grow and helping them address industry and market challenges. The Design & Consulting Team serves a diverse set of markets including food and beverage, consumer products, aviation and aerospace, civil infrastructure, healthcare, and Federal Government projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the design of projects and ensure coordination and collaboration of design vision and strategy for the Healthcare Division. You will establish and develop the strategy, presentation, and implementation of the design vision for healthcare projects and pursuits. Design visualization, technology, and presentation will be directed by the Healthcare Design Director and supported by the Design Team.

Job Responsibilities:

    Corporate
    • Leadership
      • Represents the company internally and externally in architecture personally, leads most challenging architectural design projects
    • Advocate
      • Serves as an advocate for architectural design across all Business Units
    • Resource Balancing
      • Applies architectural design resources appropriately across Business Units to meet all corporate priorities
    • Design Publication
      • Selects worthy projects and prepares submissions for design awards programs and professional journal publications
  • Project
    • Conceptual Design
      • Works with Project Director. A/E Project Principal. Project Architect and Engineering staff in the development of the conceptual architectural design
    • Charettes
      • Leads project design work sessions and charettes
    • Proposals
      • Participates in the preparation of architectural designs. presentation materials and graphics for inclusion in proposals
    • Sales
      • Participates in the presentation of architectural designs to clients and governmental agencies
    • Follow Through
      • Works with the project team through design construction documents and construction administration to assure follow through on conceptual architectural design
    • Design Opportunities
      • Maintains awareness of architectural design enhancement opportunities and encourages an appropriate quality of architectural design on all projects
  • Staff
    • Staff Supervision
      • Supervises assigned architectural design staff and conducts performance reviews
    • Staff Development
      • Responsible for recruitment. mentoring, career development, and training of assigned architectural design staff

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited university
  • 10 years of progressive experience in a design discipline leading to 5 years as an independent lead designer and culminating with at least 3 years successfully performing design management and coordination activities in assistance to a design project manager

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Demonstratable computer modeling rendering experience
  • Healthcare design experience is required
  • Holds an active architectural license

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
