Position Title: CNC Machinist

Wage: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 10-hour shifts Mon-Thurs (overtime Fri)

QPS Employment Group has a great CNC Machinist position available at a company in Pacific, MO. This is a 1st shift, direct hire position.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Operate and monitor CNC (computer numerically controlled) lathes to machine precision components used in motor assemblies, ensuring parts meet quality and engineering specifications.

- Set up machines, make minor program edits, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot issues to maintain efficient production flow in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

- Set up and operate CNC lathes and VMC equipment to machine parts according to specifications and production schedules.

- Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure correct machining of components.

- Inspect machined parts using quality measurement gauges to optimize part quality.

- Complete and maintain documentation of results of inspection of parts.

- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.

- Regularly perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring.

- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.

- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, and report any unsafe situations to supervisor, manager, or human resources.

- Communicate effectively with team members, leads and quality personnel to ensure smooth workflow.

- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

- Perform all assigned machine shop operations and other duties as assigned.

CNC Machinist Requirements:

- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

- Required: 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or factory environment.

- Required: Mechanical ability and desire to operate equipment.

- Reading and math skills sufficient to operate machine shop equipment.

- Ability to operate, set up, offset and edit programs (G-Code) in CNC Lathes.

- Experience with Doosan Pumas and Lynx Lathes with bar feeders.

- Experience with Hyundai and Fadal Vertical Machining Centers.

- Experience with offline machines such as drill presses.

- Works with moving mechanical parts.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- Very active, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day.

- Cognitive requirements include the ability to learn quickly, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be highly productive.

- Must be capable of remembering, imagining, logical numerical, and verbal reasoning, perceiving, problem solving, and providing output that users can act upon.
