ABOUT THE ROLE

The Scheduler will help ensure smooth operational timelines of projects. The Scheduler will prepare, maintain, and submit contract schedules.

Our company's Transmission and Distribution (T&D) division offers a comprehensive range of electrical services including transmission, distribution, substation and clean energy construction. We are experienced in delivering reliable, high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet the growing demands of the power and utility industry.

Essential Functions

  • Perform detailed scheduling, including the development and updating of project schedules, activity ties, variance reports, resource loading, and progress updates
  • Develop and update resource curves and produce project related reports
  • May develop revenue forecasts from the project plan/schedule and update monthly with guidance from project management
  • Attend weekly construction meetings to review schedule and plans, gather status updates, and provide continual scheduling support for periodic updates and claims mitigation
  • May work with project management to assist with various duties such as writing RFI's, preliminary schedule to be included in RFP responses, miscellaneous tracking/monitoring and preparing submittals for the client, i.e. As-Built documents
  • Product detailed resource loaded master schedules
  • Production of quantifiable data for use in mitigating schedule delay and disruption by other trades
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • 2+ years experience as a project scheduler
  • Transmission and distribution experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience (minimum 2 years of experience operating Primavera P6 scheduling software) considered in lieu of degree

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to plan, monitor, and report project schedules to the customer
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proactive self-starter with demonstrated initiative
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite software, specifically MS Project and Excel
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Prior experience within the construction trade and/or experience in the utility and industrial electrical field
  • Proven ability to provide accurate cost control analyses and reporting
