JOB TITLE: Advisory Services Senior Consultant

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES: Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. Duties to include: Develop and support clinical/business applications, solutions, and business processes to meet the operational and application needs of the organization; Ensure effective systems operations by providing end user support, troubleshooting application issues, issue resolution, and communications; Evaluate, redesign, and standardize workflows and processes to achieve organizational goals and successful outcomes; Act as the application champion by liaising with business stakeholders, application vendors, and other technical/functional teams to understand and analyze complex business problems and provide cost effective and efficient solutions using information technologies. Responsible as the application subject matter expert to be the liaison between operations and the other IT teams; Analyze user project proposals to include identifying potential problem areas and recommends optimum approaches for project path; Assist in the implementation of policies and practices to ensure the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information and to maintain data integrity. Remain abreast of trends and developments in information technology and associated software; Analyze vendor released content and provides validation of the data for reporting, Decision Support and Analytics; Assist in the coaching and mentoring of less experienced team members; Proficient and fully support the IT project management methodology; Analyze vendor content as it is released in order to determine impact to end users, recommend needed changes to workflows, enhancement requests to the vendor, and estimate resource needs to implement; Assess, develop, and implement processes that enhance profitability of health care services by defining business rules; Analyze current operational procedures and business strategies to improve efficiencies; And analyze data and prepare reports as requested. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in an analyst-related occupation. Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

* Consulting in an external, client-facing role;
* Managing in a healthcare payer or provider environment;
* Leading or managing projects, developing work plans, and coordinating resources;
* Troubleshooting issues using EHR - Epic Systems;
* Mobile applications such as DUO Mobile, UpToDate, AirWatch MDM, Haiku and Nuance PowerMic Mobile;
* Clinical Informatics solution techniques to optimize Provider and Clinicians workflow utilizing the various IT Technologies such as Analyzing Epic Signal Reporting to identify key areas of improvement and Creating Epic SlicerDicer Reporting models to analyze data analytics for provider workflow improvements;
* Serving as Admin analyst for Airstrip One (Fetal monitoring strips) application for admin setup and mobile application support for OB providers;
* Providing end user instructor lead application training for Epic EMR and other third-party applications such as Synapse, Synapse CV, MUSE, and TraumaCAD; and
* Providing support for clinicians to support Epic EMR workflows, provide assistance and analyze workflows for areas of increased workflow efficiency and improve turnaround time for revenue cycle claims.

RATE OF PAY: $94,352 - $119,770 / per year
