Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily activities and incidents as directed by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Allied Universal's policies and procedures, while performing armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
