About The Position

The Contingent Security Force Coordinator is responsible for field security and scheduling contracted law enforcement company-wide at Ameren. This includes security force personnel located in Missouri and Illinois, as well for Ameren operations as required for storm travel. The Contingent Security Force Coordinator will ensure guard force adherence to applicable contract language and Ameren policy. Additionally, the Coordinator will provide trending data related to contracted police and field security. The Contingent Guard Force Coordinator will function as a liaison for communications between Corporate Security, the SOC and internal customers. The Coordinator will provide outstanding customer service and satisfaction by assisting with customer inquiries and concerns related to guard force services and will ensure that records are audit-ready.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure guard force understands and adheres to site-specific safety requirements to include electrified facilities
  • Gather information and research high-risk post requests and align staffing accordingly
  • Ensure storm and life-safety posts are filled in a timely manner in both Missouri and Illinois
  • Regularly audit guard force posts to ensure the proper location of guard forces and that proper equipment is utilized. Report equipment anomalies immediately.
  • Establish an industry best-practice training program with reminders, record-keeping and audit functionality
  • Have a solid understanding of contingent guard force licensing compliance, consistent with regulations across Missouri and Illinois
  • Assist in making notifications to appropriate personnel of events in a timely manner
  • Regularly monitor and/or audit the guard force posts to ensure staffing and performance per schedules and Ameren's policies and procedures
  • Support the resolution of guard force alarms by leveraging Analysts, site personnel, and/or the service list
  • Successfully complete Ameren's NERC PRA, annual NERC CIP training as applicable (and additional training as requested by Corporate Security)
  • Review and ensure accuracy of invoices for guard force services provided
  • Assist with other duties as requested by Corporate Security
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for scheduling, invoicing, communication, etc.
  • Participate in Ameren's Security Subcommittee meetings
Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Five or more years' relevant experience (e.g., physical security scheduling and communications, law enforcement dispatch, military). Strong background in law enforcement secondary hire-back requirements across numerous police departments highly preferred. Understanding of physical security and situational awareness preferred.

Must be able to work flexible hours to meet situational demands.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Understand guard force scheduling, administrative responsibilities, and communication management
  • Solid knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with AMAG, Arteco & Power BI
  • Ability to keep privileged information confidential
  • Be flexible/adaptable to constantly changing environment

Compensation Range:

$60,200.00 - $90,300.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
