Responsibilities

The Opportunity
We're looking for a Frontend Software Engineer with strong React, Javascript, Typescript, CSS, and HTML skills to join our logistics app team. You'll work closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to quickly iterate on features, improve performance, and build out a secure, scalable platform for real-world military and government users.

This role blends hands-on coding with architectural input, and you'll be exposed to everything from UI workflows to backend API logic to deployment automation.

What You'll Do

Build intuitive and responsive front-end experiences using React and modern component libraries.
  • Translate product and design requirements into clean, reusable UI components.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and documentation.
  • Collaborate across design, product, DevSecOps, and field teams to launch features quickly and securely.
  • Participate in rapid prototyping cycles while maintaining production-grade coding standards.
  • Write unit and integration tests to support automated testing/validation and code quality gates.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, squash performance bottlenecks, and help build towards FedRAMP and IL5 deployment requirements.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in React, including component design, hooks, and modern front-end patterns.
  • Strong Javascript/Typescript background and solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with state management, REST APIs, and async data fetching.
  • Experience with frontend testing tools like Jest, Vitest, and React Testing Library.
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc).
  • Comfortable working in Agile or Lean environments, with rapid delivery cycles and direct user feedback loops.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Active Secret or TS clearance preferred.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployment pipelines.
  • Hands-on work with secure government environments (DoD, IL5+, FedRAMP).
  • Familiarity with AWS GovCloud.
  • Experience building logistics, supply chain, or asset tracking applications.
  • Exposure to message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Certifications like Security+ and AWS Developer/Architect.
  • Past experience at a startup or in rapid-growth teams.

Target salary range: $100,000 - $165,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
