Strategy & Planning

  • Direct annual strategy to determine marketing support for initiatives under the Northside Hospital network umbrella based on market opportunity and business objectives.
  • Develop strategic, integrated marketing plans and programs that align with the organization's goals: increase awareness, increase perceptions of expertise, support Hospital network growth and encourage patients to seek care with Northside.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance and website data. Identify research and analytics methodologies to ensure key metrics are tracked using industry best practices.
  • Stay abreast of current health care and media consumption trends, applying insights where appropriate to improve the performance of Northside marketing efforts.
  • Work with the Northside Hospital leadership team to help shape long term direction of the organization and its ongoing strategic initiatives.

Brand Marketing

  • Oversee development and roll-out of marketing initiatives that drive awareness and usage of Northside Hospital network properties.
  • Oversee all advertising, brand messaging, and collateral development to ensure consistency and adherence to brand mandatories.
  • Partner with internal and external creative groups to develop effective messaging.
  • Oversee marketing technology strategy and development (websites, landing pages, email, etc.) with internal technical teams and agency partners.
  • Partner with Content team to ensure consistency and collaboration across channels.
  • Partner with Northside Hospital physicians and business units in the development of brand marketing initiatives where appropriate.

Financial & Administrative

  • Develop and maintain marketing budgets across media, creative and technology efforts.
  • Hold others accountable for conducting business in a legal and ethical manner while complying with policies, laws, and regulations related to business and employment.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP

Team Leadership

  • Partner with peers in business units and other departments to ensure collaboration and continuity from strategy to execution.
  • Attract, develop and retain highly effective marketing professionals through demonstration of functional and operational leadership.
  • Mentor marketing team members and guide them in the development of effective marketing programs.
  • Establish performance goals and provide on-going feedback, coaching, and development to enhance the team's performance and capability.
  • Facilitate the hiring, reviewing and promotion of team members. Identify individual and team skill gaps, developmental areas, and opportunities.
  • Recognize initiative, innovation, and work well done to create a positive work environment of excellence.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Curiosity: Seeking out what makes our internal clients tick and be a student of healthcare industry dynamics and its implications for our work
  • Strategy: Developing strategies for internal clients that the Marketing team will execute
  • Fluency: Having fluency in speaking to what internal clients are facing and the ways it impacts Northside as a business, as well as in speaking to the full complement of services and capabilities the Marketing Team offers
  • Consistency: Assisting in delivering on our promises every day and ensuring clients never have to question whether they are getting our best with every interaction, deliverable, recommendation, etc.
  • 15+ years of experience in account management or client services
  • 10+ years' experience leading account services teams across a matrixed organization
  • Experience developing and executing omnichannel campaigns (from strategy development through campaign performance and measurement)
  • Hospital or Healthcare industry experience
  • Digital transformation or website development experience a plus
  • Strong presentation & interpersonal team skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results and exceed expectations
  • Experience managing budgets $10-20M+
