As the Operations Finance Manager, Powder & Small Liquid, you will support the businesses by providing accurate and timely data and analysis related to product costs, manufacturing and distribution operations, and variances. You will manage the operations finance activities for US locations impacting numerous business units. You will report to the Senior Manager, Operations Finance. Main Responsibilities
- Lead a team through coaching, goal setting, training and standardization of duties and tasks, collaboration and implementation of process improvements. You will manage a group ranging in size from 5 to 8 Operations Finance team members.
- Complete month end close activities related to manufacturing and distribution operations and preparation of internal management reporting. * Provide the business with profit analysis in communication of distribution costs, manufacturing results and variances, purchase price variance, period costs, estimates, and manufacturing strategy.
- Manage all inventory accounts including trend analysis, monthly account reconciliation approvals, physical inventory audits, and physical inventory reconciliation approvals.
- Complete the annual budget and quarterly product re-costs to support accurate inventory valuation and business decisions focused on product profitability.
- Support ad hoc Operations and other function requests, such as capital projects and product costing analyses.
- Ensure team members procedures are performed following internal control requirements.
- Business partner to Operations and Business Unit Finance leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- 6+ years of finance and accounting experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing plant locations on a quarterly basis.
- Technical proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as Oracle or SAP is preferred.
