Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.] Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system design weaknesses.
  • Provides system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support.
  • Generates technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Performs software systems engineering efforts, including software requirements analysis, software design, software integration and test, and system verification and validation.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to perform software trade studies, define software architecture, and determine software interfaces.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to generate software test plans, methodologies and test cases for software testing and system verification testing.
  • Supports the full software and system development lifecycle, including documentation, configuration management, risk analysis and system security documentation on new and fielded information systems
  • Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
  • Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
  • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and program planning activities

  • Proficiency in software development methodologies, languages, version control and DevOps practices
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) & Familiarity with MagicDraw
  • Software Design and/or Software Integration and Test Leadership
  • Software requirements decomposition and interface development
  • Experience with RF aided inertial navigation systems for missiles, rockets, cannon launched artillery, and/or ground-based systems
  • Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools

Target salary range: USD $109,890.00/Yr. - USD $116,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
