About this Opportunity:

TechSource, Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineer to support mission-critical infrastructure and construction activities onsite at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) as part of the TRIAD Maintenance & Operations contract. In this role, you will manage, coordinate, and execute construction engineering tasks that support DOE facility operations, maintenance, and upgrade work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

As a Construction Engineer, you will work closely with LANL personnel and internal TechSource teams to ensure construction work meets schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives, including oversight across multiple rotating shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holiday support.

TechSource offers a relocation bonus that will be provided on the first paycheck to support candidates moving to the Los Alamos, NM area.

Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as a technical lead for construction planning, coordination, workflow execution, and engineering support at LANL.
  • Oversee construction engineering activities, interfacing with LANL staff, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent execution and compliance with standards.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements to support field execution and quality control.
  • Provide engineering insight and recommendations to solve site-specific challenges, including constructability, sequencing, and constraint mitigation.
  • Support project management functions such as progress reporting, schedule tracking, risk identification, and change coordination.
  • Ensure adherence to site safety policies, Integrated Work Management (IWM), and Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) expectations.
  • DOE Q security clearance or the ability to obtain one (clearance in hand highly preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction engineering experience, preferably within DOE/NNSA, national laboratory, utility, or heavy industrial environments. (we are hiring for several roles, please apply if you have 15+ yerars of experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work across rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-demand support.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated effectiveness engaging cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work onsite at LANL in Los Alamos, NM with support for relocation available.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior experience working in DOE, NNSA, or national laboratory environments.
  • Project controls, scheduling, or contract administration experience.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and construction quality assurance processes.
