Process Maintenance Technician - Structural Welding Focus

Location: Monroe, LA

Pay: $24-$26/hour, DOE

Shift: Day Shift

Staffmark has partnered with a dynamic company in Monroe, LA, seeking a Direct Hire Process Maintenance Technician (with a strong emphasis on structural welding) to join their innovative team. Important: All applicants will complete a welding test as part of the interview process.

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural welding, fabrication, cutting, and grinding.
• Read and interpret blueprints to accurately lay out and complete weld projects.
• Conduct daily inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and install mechanical components to minimize downtime.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and fabrication tasks as needed.
• Safely operate tools and equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and lifts.
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven proficiency in structural welding (MIG/TIG/stick).
• Mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at elevated heights or in confined spaces.
• Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic electrical knowledge (110/220V) and familiarity with tools such as multimeters.
• Technical training or related experience in maintenance is strongly preferred.
