We are looking for a Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs to join the broader management team. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced dealmaker and trusted advisor who combines strong legal judgment with business acumen. This role requires the ability to manage significant responsibility and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across multiple business units.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze, negotiate, and draft a wide range of complex agreements.
  • Serve as a strategic legal and business advisor to senior executives, guiding deal structures, risk assessment, and contract interpretation.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and oversight of company policies and best practices related to the businesses the position supports.
  • Support and help shape evolving business models, including emerging technologies and innovative deal structures.
  • Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 15+ years of transactional legal experience
  • Strong understanding of media, entertainment, or content-driven businesses
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage complex, multi-layered transactions and agreements
  • Proven leadership skills, including experience managing, mentoring, and developing legal professionals
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal clients and cross-functional teams
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (or equivalent tools)

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree; active bar membership (or eligibility for in-house counsel registration, where applicable)
  • Experience at a top-tier law firm and/or as in-house counsel strongly

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $352,000.00-500,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
