Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Internal Patrol in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help control access and help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted spaces.
  • Communicate professionally with healthcare staff and visitors to address concerns, provide directions, and assist as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare personnel and emergency responders during incidents and drills to support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of vaccination is required for hospital assignments.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
