Job Summary/Objective:

Assists in organizing, coordinating, and filing training sessions and documentation. Supports the facility, People and Culture, and Training team with administrative tasks and tracking team member progress. Prepares training materials and maintains training records to ensure program effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

* Observes training programs and initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and leadership needs.

* Contacts team members, internal partners, and external partners to coordinate training sessions, workshops, and development initiatives.

* Track team member training and progression, ensuring accuracy in reporting.

* Organizes materials and logistics for training programs, including room bookings, materials preparation, and event coordination.

* Documents feedback and outcomes from training programs, maintaining accurate records of participant progress and program success.

* Ensures that all training resources and sessions are up-to-date and compliant with organizational policies.

* Provides administrative support for budget, vendor management, and reporting; prepares reports on training metrics to provide insights into program effectiveness and improvement areas.

* Follows up with participants post-training to gather feedback and assess the impact on performance and development

Job Description

Summary
Provide process support for manufacturing in an assigned area or areas within a facility. Responsibilities will include problem solving and special expertise in technical areas relating to any specific manufacturing process or multiple process as deemed appropriate. Additionally, this individual will work directly with operators, supervisors and plant leadership to assist. Assignments can be of a broad nature and require considerable judgment, ingenuity, and mechanical aptitude. Typically, this position will require 80+ percent of duties to be on the production floor (non-office environment).

Description of Duties and Responsibilities
Provide hands-on training for operators new to the company or those newly assigned.
Provide hands-on assistance in trouble shooting and eliminating process issues.
Provide hands-on assistance in support of day to day operations.
Provide hands-on assistance in area of cost reduction - areas such as dimensional control, manufacturing methods, etc.
Support Southwire's Culture of Zero by demonstrating safe and quality conscious work habits.
Assist Leadership in identifying training needs of individuals in the assigned area.
Actively participate in the DHP process and be capable of conducting huddles as needed.
Coordinate with support staff to assist in resolving problems as needed.
Must develop and demonstrate the ability to use lean tools from the Southwire Toolkit.
Participate as needed in Lean activities, such as Kaizen events, Problem Solving events, SMED, VSM and others.
Must demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and adapt to change quickly.
Must be flexible and willing to accept responsibilities that are outside the traditional scope.
Any other activities as directed by the Plant Leadership.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts

Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Preferred 3 plus years of experience and working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and process.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP, Advaris is a plus.
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must demonstrate high level of mechanical aptitude.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities along with outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills required.
Must have clear understanding of OPS, the DHP principles and applications.
