Salary: $33.09/hr

Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S)

  • Work safely and follow all environmental, safety, and operational procedures.

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements for process operators.

  • Identify hazards; use respirators and PPE; ensure proper permits before work begins.

  • Operate reactors, forklifts, pumps, valves, and chemical dispensing equipment.

  • Follow Process Safety Management, Responsible Care, and Emergency Response Plans.

  • Participate in safety programs: hazard recognition, high-hazard permits, committees, training, inspections, housekeeping.

  • Handle chemicals/waste (hazardous & nonhazardous) per RCRA and OSHA HazCom.

  • Maintain all required documentation in accordance with Solenis standards and RC14001.

  • Enter incident reports into the corporate EHS system.

Production

  • Safely operate reactors and production equipment; perform SAP transactions for inventory control.

  • Run work tanks, heat exchangers, homogenizers, chemical distribution/dispensing systems.

  • Perform scheduling, raw material management, work instruction updates, cycle counts, and data entry.

  • Keep all work areas organized and clean (equipment stations, tank farm, hose stations, etc.).

  • Use DeltaV or local process control systems.

  • Conduct analytical and quality tests (inprocess, pH, halogen).

  • Document production per ISO 9001 and Solenis requirements.

  • Execute production plans and help coordinate operator schedule coverage.

  • Analyze finished products; monitor raw materials and finished goods inventory.

  • Complete SAP tasks, housekeeping duties, and all assigned training.

  • Inspect and use appropriate PPE.

  • Experience in manufacturing; forklift & hoist operation.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, DeltaV, Lotus Notes.

  • Familiar with process equipment (vessels, valves, PLCs, flowmeters, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Chemistry degree (AS/BS) is a plus

  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, industrial operations, or similar environments

  • Ability to safely operate process equipment (reactors, pumps, valves, forklifts, etc.)

  • Ability to wear required PPE, including a respirator

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work 12hour and multishift schedules

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; ability to learn SAP and DeltaV)

  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow written procedures

  • Forklift/hoist experience (or ability to obtain certification posthire)

The expected compensation range for this position is between $42,800.00 and $71,400.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
