YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:



  • Provides technical, design and programming services in support of municipal water and wastewater projects as part of a project team.
  • Programming or design projects including researching other instruments or other equipment.
  • Writing specifications and creating drawings in AutoCAD such as one-line diagrams, SCADA system architecture diagrams, panel drawings, instrumentation details, etc.
  • Developing user graphics that depict the process of the controls system we design.
  • Developing the related programmable logic controller for the water treatment process.
  • Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
  • Student works directly under supervisor.
  • Communicates and coordinates technical evaluations and designs, technical writing of reports and correspondence with Project Manager and design team to complete work efficiently.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:



  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science.
  • Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills.
  • Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from Senior Staff and coordinate efforts with design team.
  • Strong writing and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • AutoCAD experience preferred but not required.
  • Able to complete work consistently with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by Senior Staff.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

  • Sophomore or Junior status preferred.
