Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work hybrid with our client in Indianapolis, IN. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• As a Buyer, you will develop and implement global external supplier and commodity strategies that will drive long-term improvements in quality, cost, and delivery, with engagement and support of key stakeholders so as to enhance competitive and commercial performance of the client, its customers, and suppliers.
• You will also operate within the supply chain management team/purchasing team across the full product/service life cycle, ensuring supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.
• Support or lead key contract negotiations, including completing cost analyses and negotiations on terms and conditions
• Managing work queue, including the sourcing of parts/services, raising and management of purchase documents
• Supplier operations and relationship management within the commodity group
• Cost reduction/cost management to support the company's cost targets
• Support or lead the development and execution of commodity strategies.

Hours: 40 hours/week

Length: Contract (12months)

• High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of experience
• Minimum 6 years of experience in operational or procurement or logistical

• Associate Degree with 4 years' experience.
• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years' experience.
• Master's Degree
• JD/PhD Degree
• Previous procurement for government experience
• Adept with technical knowledge
• Purchasing experience in a global environment
• SAP Experience
