As a full-time, exempt Product Owner with Optum Health you will work directly with the customers to understand their point of view and market needs for the CPS Optimizer product. You will work directly with the CPS Development team to drive Agile/Scrum best practices in order to design and deploy innovative solutions that address the real user needs of the product. Priorities of the role include developing user stories and requirements documents through Rally, backlog prioritization, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive product innovation.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning of product releases and set expectations for delivery of new features
  • Play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful completion of team goals
  • Plan and prioritize a backlog of sufficient size
  • Communicate effectively at all levels with their team, stakeholders, senior executives, technical resources as well as other staff
  • Assimilate information from a variety of sources to develop coherent user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Work with team to align backlog to business priorities
  • Communicate product vision and benefits through demos and other forms of communication
  • Train other teams on the core product value proposition and the problems the product solves
  • Follow established processes like the SDLC to work with the team effectively in a structured manner
  • Lead requirements gathering effort by consulting with the business owners and other stakeholders
  • Conduct market research, ROI, customer feedback analysis and anything in between to recommend the right approach
  • Stay up to date on Agile best practices and new trends
  • Additional duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Knowledgeable in technology and project management tools relevant to the role
  • Experience with Agile processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy and/or Healthcare experience
  • Demonstrated skills in facilitating the performance of cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.09 to $78.70 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
