Inova Health Anticoagulation Clinic is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician 3 to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday.

Pharmacy Technician 3 Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine monitoring to ensure par levels are appropriate and shelves are clearly labelled.
  • Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all documentation requirements for The Joint Commission are complete and accurate (i.e. controlled substance processes, unit inspections, cleaning logs, etc.).
  • Accounts for control and distribution of controlled drugs in the Pharmacy.
  • Procures and distributes medications per physician/pharmacist requests or prearranged work assignments according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Provides training and oversight for Pharmacy Technicians to ensure that all sterile preparation procedures, unit dose packaging, unit dose filling and Sure Med filling processes are being completed accurately and timely.
  • Deliver medications to other locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School or GED.

  • Experience: Two (2) years Pharmacy Technician experience in a hospital.

  • Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
