First Citizens Bank Equipment Finance is seeking Commercial Sales Rep III/Business Development Rep in their Golf & Turf division. This dynamic role focuses on the financing of turf maintenance equipment, fleet golf cars, utility vehicles and other equipment used in golf, sports/professional turf, grounds care, hospitality, and similar industries. The role has both sales and sales support functions, working with both internal and external partners. Favorable results will be achieved by the successful sales and relationship management of manufacturer and dealer/distributor contacts, national accounts, industry groups and end-user customers.


Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned accounts, relationships and programs as primary contact in a high visibility customer facing role.
  • Pursue new business opportunities, both programmatically and transactionally.
  • Develop existing relationships and drive "top of wallet" utilization with customer and vendor business.
  • Build relationships throughout the assignment including principles, executives, managers, operators, sales, and administration.
  • Act as a subject matter expert with internal and external partners.
  • Manage pipeline transactions and communicate relevant information to internal partners and functional teams as appropriate.
  • Facilitate credit analysis, ensuring customers and vendors are sharing the proper information; may include personally reviewing financial information.
  • Manage the portfolio, ensuring customer satisfaction and portfolio performance (covers customer service, asset management collections, buyouts, etc.)
  • Assist internal partners with all aspects of current business, from applications and documents to insurance and invoicing and more.
  • Travel as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Financial Services, Commercial Banking

-OR-

High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Financial Services, Commercial Banking

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales, sales support, or Client relationship management
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships with both senior management and day-to-day contacts at established and newly developed vendor customers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Strong presentation, organization, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leasing industry experience, preferably in golf, sports, or hospitality knowledge
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com and TValue (amortization)
  • Exceptional ability to develop and cultivate strategic relationships.
  • Ability to negotiate transactions, help gather documentation and general commercial credit awareness
  • Works well independently and in collaborative environments.
