Sr Adv-Technical Accounting

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Technical Accounting is responsible for ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies. This role involves researching complex accounting issues, preparing technical memos, overseeing accounting for specific transactions, and coordinating and effectively communicating with internal stakeholders on a regular basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research, analyze, and document technical accounting conclusions on complex transactions

Oversee the accounting for investments

Collaborate and provide technical accounting support for M&A transactions

Lead or support ad-hoc projects

Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in accounting or finance. Master's Degree preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Seven (7) years of experience in financial reporting and analysis in a large public accounting firm or complex accounting environment of a for-profit company, including experience using automated financial systems.
• Experience in SEC or other regulatory agency reporting or financial systems design may be required for some positions.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills required., and contingency planning.
