Position Information Position: Coatings Inspector Company: Abhe & Svoboda, Inc. Location: Portland, OR; Salem, OR; Seattle, WA Salary Range: $90,000 to $105,000 + Benefits Salary Notes: Salary Range: $90,000 to $105,000 annually plus benefits. Salary/Benefits will depend on Education, Certifications, and Experience. Employment Type: Full Time Start Date: 03/01/2026 Requirements and/or Preferences Education: High School or Equivalent Required Experience: 5 to 20+ years Job Description Description: Coatings Inspector shall report to the Project Manager or Director of Quality and must be able to work with our onsite Superintendent and Site Safety & Health Officer. The duties include but are not limited to: * Complete Quality Control Daily Reports * Receive and maintain Quality Control Inspection records * Read and understand codes and requirements for Blasting & Painting * Verify dimensions of product or material to match shop drawings and field conditions * Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and confer with site management or engineering staff to determine quality standards * Understand requirements for testing surface preparation, coatings, etc. This Coatings Inspector position requires the worker to always be on the site during coatings operations. Work will require assistance in daily operations during days of non-inspection. Work will also require work from heights and pre-employment physical. Requirements: AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 2) Certificate Five (5) years of related coatings experience, preferably past bridge Projects Experience with TRUQC software, or ability to learn Ability to interface effectively with project supervision, safety personnel, management, Government Personnel, and painting personnel Ability to read and interpret contract specifications and shop fabrication drawings We are an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.
