How you'll make an impact: The Endpoint Engineering Intern will support the Enterprise Endpoint Engineering team in managing, maintaining, and improving Windows and macOS endpoints across the organization. This role provides hands-on exposure to endpoint lifecycle management, device configuration, operating system engineering, and hardware asset management in an enterprise environment. The intern will work closely with Endpoint Engineers and IT Operations to assist with device deployments, troubleshooting, documentation, and inventory accuracy, while gaining real-world experience with modern endpoint management tools and processes.
What you'll do
- Endpoint Engineering (Windows & macOS)
- Assist with Windows and macOS endpoint provisioning, imaging, and configuration
- Support device enrollment and management using MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, Jamf, or similar)
- Help test and validate OS updates, patches, and security configurations
- Assist in troubleshooting endpoint hardware and software issues
- Support deployment and verification of enterprise applications and configurations
- Help document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and endpoint build processes
- Hardware Asset Management
- Assist with tracking and auditing hardware assets (laptops, peripherals, accessories)
- Maintain accuracy of asset records, including device ownership, lifecycle status, and location
- Support new hire onboarding and offboarding device workflows
- Assist with device refresh, return, and decommissioning processes
- Help coordinate hardware inventory counts and reconciliation
- Operational & Administrative Support
- Assist with ticket triage and task execution under engineer guidance
- Help identify opportunities for process improvement or automation
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and project work
- Provide general support for endpoint engineering initiatives as needed
- Learning Opportunities
- Hands-on experience with enterprise Windows and macOS environments
- Exposure to modern endpoint management and security practices
- Understanding of device lifecycle management at scale

What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a university program (students graduating by May 2027 preferred) or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
- Exposure to or interest in endpoint management tools (Intune, Jamf, SCCM, etc.)
- Familiarity with hardware asset management concepts or tools
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) is a plus
- Interest in enterprise IT, security, or automation
- Prior internship, lab, or personal project experience managing devices
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be $37-40/hr and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
