How you'll make an impact:
As a Product Management Intern within the Innovation & Growth swimlane, you will support early-stage product discovery efforts that help shape SiriusXM's future platform, mobile, and ecosystem capabilities. You will contribute research, analysis, and synthesis that inform how we identify new opportunity spaces, evaluate emerging customer needs, and prioritize where to invest next. Your work will help strengthen our strategic foundation by translating market signals, competitive insights, and customer expectations into clear inputs that guide concept development, POC framing, and future delivery decisions.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct market scans, competitive benchmarking, and trend analysis across consumer and enterprise technology landscapes, with emphasis on mobile, platform, developer experience, and adjacent ecosystem capabilities.
  • Research emerging customer needs and industry best practices, helping identify unmet needs and whitespace opportunities aligned to Innovation & Growth priorities.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into clear, structured artifacts such as concept decks, product briefs, opportunity assessments, and executive-ready summaries.
  • Support early-stage product discovery by helping frame value hypotheses, assumptions, lightweight success metrics, and POC/MVP evaluation criteria.
  • Contribute to foundational product thinking by documenting problem statements, opportunity spaces, trade-offs, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineers to ensure insights are actionable and grounded in real-world constraints.
  • Learn how discovery insights evolve into delivery-oriented work by observing and supporting how concepts move from research into prioritized initiatives.

What you'll need:

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program, or graduated within the last 12 months (Those graduating by May 2027 are preferred), in a relevant field such as business, product management, engineering, design, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong curiosity and interest in product management, particularly how research and insights translate into discovery and delivery decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and synthesize information into clear, concise, and well-structured outputs.
  • Experience (academic or internship) with market research, competitive analysis, user research, or product documentation is a plus.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, early-stage problem spaces where solutions are not yet defined.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate rationale, assumptions, and recommendations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners in a product-led or Agile environment.
  • Nice to have: Exposure to developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, or platform-based products.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be $37-40/hr and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
