How you'll make an impact: As an AI Product Management Intern on our SiriusXM Content Understanding team, you'll participate in the creation of compelling and easy to use experiences for millions of listeners and customers. The Content Understanding team works within SiriusXM's Product & Technology organization to develop rich, interconnected data and insights that power personalized listener experiences through advanced machine learning and content analysis. We enable use cases across SiriusXM's diverse catalog - Music, Talk Radio, Podcasts, and Sports. We are seeking an AI product manager intern for a team developing deep understanding of audio content through multimodal analysis including audio signal processing, metadata generation, and semantic understanding. The team's goal is to create products that enable internal teams to build experiences that are safe, engaging, and discoverable while optimizing content operations and rights management workflows.
What you'll do:
- Drive a feature, experiment, or process improvement end-to-end -- from interviewing users and defining requirements through developing the feature and on to measuring results.
- Drive the conceptualization and end-to-end development of AI driven products for content understanding and discovery.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to set product vision, strategy, and roadmap for audio content analysis capabilities.
- Lead product discovery to identify opportunities across SiriusXM's content supply chain, from ingestion and cataloging to recommendation and rights management.
- Partner with content programming teams, engineering organizations, and external content partners to understand workflow needs and technical constraints.
- Develop products that enable efficient content processing, metadata generation, and catalog management at scale.
- Continually improve products through build-measure-learn cycles, leveraging quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Content Operations, and Business stakeholders on new initiatives.
What you'll need:
- Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by May 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
- Previous internship or work experience in AI and ML focused consumer technology products preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with technical team members in an Agile-Scrum environment.
- Interaction design experience or user research experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate with executive stakeholders, anticipating questions, and articulating decisions with supporting rationale.
- A passion for music and the ambition to create compelling and unique experiences that listeners and customers love.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be $37-40/hr and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
