Job Summary

The job will require participation in SBU Capture and Strategic Plans, maintaining SBU CE Order Capture pursuits, coordinating SBU efforts across the Region to assure that GD-OTS products are being marketed per stated guidelines, working with other GD business units in the Region, and to maintain a relationship with all US ODC/Embassy offices in the Region to align OTS strategy w/ USG Security Assistance policy.
As a Director of International BD, they will participate in IRAD formulation meetings whereby they will communicate the capability needs from the Region to relevant SBU CTO's in order to form alignment.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for retaining and expanding existing company relationships for one or more divisions, product lines, or market segments, and soliciting new business from prospective customers.
  • Assesses and executes long-term strategic plans for the growth of the organization.
  • Contributes to the development of strategies for identifying and responding to business development opportunities, which may include internal expansion into new markets or external expansion via partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with customers and ensures ongoing satisfaction of the partner organization.
  • Gathers and analyzes data evaluating new business opportunities or assessing potential markets, to assist executive teams in decision making and planning.
  • Prepares proposals, reports, or presentations demonstrating the potential value of new business opportunities.



Additional Responsibilities

Attend regional trade shows/exhibitions as well as participate in USG led PMRs, Industry Days, demonstrations, and any other functions involving key personnel from countries in the Region. Regional assignments will be a function of the job, but the Director may be asked to undertake activities in other markets as needed.



Required Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Business, Marketing or other related degree preferred
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to foster teamwork. Management skills. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Customer service skills. Interpersonal skills.
  • Travel: at least 5 overseas trips per year, with CONUS travel in addition


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.


Travel Requirements

25-50% travel likely.
