Job Summary

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required. Performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $93.47 - $121.11 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description

The Urology Faculty Practice is a high-volume specialty clinic that focuses on a variety of urological diagnoses. The Urology Clinic treats adults with a wide range urinary tract conditions. These include common problems such as kidney and bladder stones, urinary tract infections, and urinary incontinence, and less common ones, such as obstructions of the urinary tract and painful bladder syndromes. In men, we provide treatment for benign conditions of the prostate gland, erectile dysfunction and male infertility. Our team is also nationally known for expert repair of traumatic injuries to the genitals and urinary tract.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of two years full-time RN experience
• A minimum of two years Urological or Ambulatory Procedural Nursing Care Experience
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
• Knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
• Recent experience in the use of electronic medical record documentation
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience and fluency in working with computers
• Experience in outpatient setting
• Knowledge of UCSF and APEX
• Proficiency in handling sterile equipment
• Knowledge of sterile processing
• Experience with Urological patient population in inpatient and/or outpatient setting

License/Certification

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
