Job Description




As a Security Officer - Parking Deck Patrol in BROOKLYN, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and professionalism. You will support daily operations by documenting activities, assisting visitors and staff, and representing our agile, reliable, and innovative team with integrity and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, stairwells, loading or service areas and the exterior perimeter as assigned.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, directing visitors and assisting with sign-in requirements in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports, activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate conditions requiring attention to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
