Your role

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, your mission is to support of the engineering, design and manufacture of vacuum pumps, components, and assemblies for vacuum systems. You will report to the Engineering Manager.

You will



  • Provide support to the Engineering team and internal customers to develop vacuum pumps and components for integrated vacuum systems.



  • Working with the Engineering team to create designs for new products and improve existing designs.



  • Working with the Engineering team to conduct air/oil separation studies in LRP systems, optimizing separator designs and make improvement recommendations.



  • Work with production and field service personnel to assist with the application, analysis, planning and potential debugging of different vacuum systems.

  • Full-time student enrolled in a four-year college or university; currently enrolled in at least junior year within an Electrical engineering curriculum.



  • Broad technical background in areas such as CAD design systems, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, and/or electro-mechanical design and control system development.



  • Strong problem solving skills, and the pragmatic application of strong mechanical design theory and analytical skills.



  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.

Job location

This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Michigan City, United States (US). You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
