Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Meridian, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and building activity, including observing cameras and/or alarm indicators when assigned, and report suspicious or unusual conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing directions, coordinating with on-site staff, and contacting public responders when needed.
  • Complete shift documentation, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions using approved reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
