1. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration preferred / associate's degree is acceptable
1. Minimum of three years' Supply Chain experience in a surgical / procedural setting. 2. Must have substantial knowledge of hospital peri-operative inventory control. 3. Must have strong analytical skills, be able to trouble shoot problems, demonstrate the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and interdisciplinary team members. 4. Ability to work well under pressure, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 5. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Inventory and Financial Systems, and experience with product standardization. 6. Must adhere to the organization's code of conduct and dress code standards. 7. Must have the ability to maintain a positive working relationship with all departments within the UNC system. 9. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and in an organized manner. 10. Must demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication skills. 11. Must be able to lift (up to 50 pounds), stand, and stock without any physical limitations. 12. Coordinates the implementation of all GPO and Local contracts to ensure compliance and best possible total price. 13. Work with Department Managers, Warehouse staff and vendor customer service to develop and maintain a list of authorized substitute products that can be readily available in the event of a backorder status. 12. PROFICIENT in EXCEL * * LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION 1. Valid North Carolina Driver's License (NCDL) 2. Surgical Tech (ST) certification acceptable 3. Central Sterile Services Tech (CSST) certification acceptable * * PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * 1. Must be able to lift (up to 50 pounds), stand, and stock without any physical limitations. Responsibilities: 1. Clinical Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of all supplies used in Perioperative Services, (list other areas that do not fall under PS). 3. Reviewing OR patient supply charges 4. Pulling supplies for OR Cases. 5. Maintain adequate inventory in a cost-effective manner utilizing UNC System, GPO and local contracts when available. 6. Responsibilities include assisting in establishing and maintaining uniformity and accuracy of Par Station locations and or Perpetual inventories. 7. Responsible for consignment inventories pertaining to Perioperative Services (if applicable list other areas not under PS). 8. Co-ordinate "inventory return" items in a timely manner. 9. Co-ordinate "inventory recall" and "corrective actions" in a timely manner. 10. Clinical Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the operation and coordination of the (O.R-MMIS) supply system(s) ensuring that it operates in a sound manner and manages supplies from acquisition to disposition. 11. Participates in OR value analysis, product conversions, and new product introductions. 12. Responsible for the coordination and implementation of vendor admittance to the hospital. Ensures the Vendor and Product Value Analysis policies are consistently applied. 13. Collects, reviews and analyzes data. Makes recommendations for department performance improvement. Identifies, resolves and communicates problems to appropriate teammates. 14. Supports, prepares for and participates in annual inventory activities. 15. Other duties deemed necessary to ensure the department's success.
