How you'll make an impact:
As a Summer Intern on the Innovation team, you will participate directly in the rapid, iterative development of new concepts and ideas, gaining hands-on experience working in a fast-paced, large-scale organization. You'll support early-stage exploration, experimentation, and validation efforts that help turn emerging ideas into actionable insights, contributing meaningfully to the Innovation team's ability to move quickly and learn lessons early. The work you do with the Innovation team today will translate directly into the products and services of SiriusXM Connect and beyond tomorrow.

What you'll do:

• Work closely with architects, engineers, product managers, and business partners to explore, prototype, and evaluate new product concepts and technical ideas.
• Support rapid experimentation efforts by helping define problem statements, assumptions, and success criteria for early-stage initiatives.
• Assist with building lightweight prototypes, proofs of concept, or technical demos to test ideas quickly and gather feedback.
• Conduct research and analysis on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings to inform innovation opportunities.
• Help synthesize findings into clear documentation, presentations, and insights that can be shared with stakeholders across engineering, product, and leadership.
• Participate in team working sessions, design discussions, and reviews to gain exposure to how innovation progresses from idea to execution in a large-scale organization.

What you'll need:

• Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (students graduating by May 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship majoring in a technical degree.
• Experience with a scripting or native platform language (eg: Javascript, Swift, Kotlin, etc)
• Experience with automation and/or AI tools such as chatGPT, Gemini
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, contribute to the conversation and invest in your imagination every day.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be $37-$40/hr and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
