WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization dedicated to alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies. We are seeking a Multicultural Communications Specialist with a primary focus on Spanish language services to support translation, quality, and volunteer linguist roster across the organization. The Spanish linguist role is responsible for translating, proofreading, reviewing, and ensuring the linguistic and cultural quality of Spanish-language materials. The role also partners with Volunteer Services to execute the Multicultural Communications volunteer strategy. *Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) required for this role* The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States with a preference to work East Coast hours. Skills & Abilities: May require the ability to obtain a government security clearance. May require fluency in second language. Ability to work on a team. * A combination of the candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to the description's minimum education and general experience years combined (management experience cannot be substituted). Compensation: The salary range for this position is 60,000-70,000. Note that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the work is performed. The stated salary range in this posting is an average. The specific salary information will be shared at the time of phone screening based upon your location and qualifications.
