What this job involves:

Lead strategic occupancy excellence as a Director of Occupancy Planning & Management with JLL, where you'll play a crucial role ensuring delivery of JLL best practices through Occupancy Planning & Management products, solutions, and tools to real estate clients while serving as an account leader bringing best practices, industry insight, and thought leadership to accounts. You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients, Account Directors, and teams while fostering critical relationships between various individuals and organizations, ensuring coordination and collaboration among JLL businesses. This role positions you as a strategic leader in workplace optimization, where your expertise in team management, space portfolio strategy, and client advisory services will directly impact client satisfaction and organizational success. Your leadership will contribute to JLL's occupancy planning excellence while you manage teams, drive results through strategic thinking and problem-solving, serve as Subject Matter Expert for key systems and processes, and assist clients in migration plans, group and individual moves through comprehensive space portfolio management.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Strategic Leadership & Client Advisory: Serve as account leader for Occupancy Planning and Management delivery while acting as trusted advisor bringing thought leadership, best practices, and industry insight to clients, Account Directors, and teams
  • Team Management & Development: Manage, train, and mentor teams while serving as Subject Matter Expert for key systems, processes, and client deliverables, fostering collaborative environments that drive excellence and innovation
  • Space Portfolio Management: Plan and manage portfolios maximizing space efficiency while assisting clients in migration plans, group and individual moves, reviewing and preparing project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations while ensuring coordination and collaboration among JLL businesses, establishing strong relationships across all organizational levels
  • Strategic Analysis & Reporting: Create accurate and credible planning reports supporting Corporate Real Estate decision-making including space, demand, and utilization tracking while reporting on current supply, capacity, and forecasting inventory changes
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Utilize critical thinking skills to tell compelling stories through data using Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup, cell calculations, and consolidating data into PowerPoint presentations for clients
  • Process Innovation & Improvement: Think strategically simplifying complex challenges, see big picture driving results while being proactive and innovative with solutions, thriving on change with appetite for risks and transformation
Required Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with excellent active listening abilities, presentation skills to promote ideas persuasively, and capability to establish strong relationships across all organizational levels
  • Strong bias towards transformation and execution with structured approach to problem solving, natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics, and commercially/financially astute perspective
  • Ability to effectively structure, staff, and manage projects ensuring clarity of expectations, timely execution, corrective action when needed, and successful outcomes with strong organizational planning skills
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, vlookup, cell calculations, understanding of floorplans, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to consolidate data into compelling client presentations
  • High perseverance and resourcefulness with flexibility to work in ambiguous situations, resilience and tenacity with propensity to persevere, and unwavering ethical standards driving excellence
  • Ability to influence others toward common vision while working collaboratively through others, inspirational leadership stimulating action with balanced control and influence, and decisive risk-taking operating with urgency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including active listening, visual communication, and ability to engage at all leadership levels from administrative to executive while understanding complex ideas
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background leading large-scale teams, managing P&L responsibility, or supporting organizational transformation initiatives within corporate real estate or consulting environments
  • Deep understanding of occupancy planning best practices, space optimization strategies, and corporate real estate portfolio management with track record driving sustainable change through root cause analysis
  • Proven track record serving as trusted advisor to executive-level clients, supporting strategic initiatives, or leading cross-functional teams in complex corporate environments
  • Experience implementing innovative workplace technologies, leading digital transformation initiatives, or serving as Subject Matter Expert for CAFM/IWMS platforms enhancing operational efficiency
  • Background implementing operational improvements, developing standard operating procedures, or leading organizational change management initiatives that drive sustainable transformation

Estimated compensation for this position:

195,000.00 - 212,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
