Position Overview The Vice President of Enrollment Services provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the full enrollment lifecycle, from inquiry through admission, matriculation, and transition into the student experience. This leader ensures a seamless, student-centered journey while driving institutional growth, operational excellence, and innovation across all enrollment functions. The VP oversees Admissions, Enrollment Operations, and key pre-enrollment services, with responsibility for pipeline management, application processing, communications, data insights, and technology ecosystems that support high-performing enrollment operations. The role is highly collaborative, partnering closely with Marketing, Academic Affairs, and Student Services to ensure alignment in strategy, messaging, and execution. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive enrollment strategies that achieve institutional recruitment, yield, and start-term goals.
- Use advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and market intelligence to guide decision-making, forecast enrollment outcomes, and optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing on integrated recruitment strategies, ensuring alignment of campaigns, messaging, audience segmentation, digital engagement, and brand positioning.
- Evaluate demographic, industry, and competitor trends to inform long-term enrollment planning and strategic positioning.
- Inform and implement institutional dashboards, KPIs, and reporting structures that translate data into actionable insights.
Operational Management, Technology, & AI Ecosystems
- Oversee operations across Admissions, Enrollment Services, and initial onboarding, ensuring accuracy, speed, and exceptional service delivery.
- Lead the management and optimization of the university's enrollment technology ecosystem, including CRM, SIS, communication platforms, workflow tools, and AI-driven systems.
- Identify, implement, and operationalize technologies (including AI, automation, and predictive analytics tools) that streamline processes, improve applicant experience, and enhance conversion rates.
- Ensure strong compliance and system integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce friction in the application and enrollment process, enhancing both efficiency and student satisfaction.
Collaboration with Marketing & Institutional Stakeholders
- Partner with the Marketing team on creative direction, message testing, digital strategy, and campaign performance to ensure enrollment goals are met.
- Provide Marketing with data-driven insights on funnel performance, audience behavior, and ROI to refine recruitment efforts.
- Cultivate and achieve a referral budget to supplement marketing-generated inquiries.
- Work with Deans, Faculty, and Admissions Committees to support consistent and timely admissions decisions.
- Collaborate with Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Finance, and Student Services to ensure seamless student transitions and cohesive enrollment policies.
- Represent Enrollment Services in institutional planning, accreditation discussions, and operational alignment initiatives.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead and develop directors, managers, and staff across enrollment units, cultivating a culture of excellence, collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Establish clear performance standards, KPIs, and data-informed management practices.
- Invest in ongoing staff development, especially skills related to analytics, technology systems, customer service, and compliance.
Compliance, Reporting & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all admissions and enrollment practices meet federal, state, accreditation, and university requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of applicant and student data.
- Produce accurate forecasting, performance dashboards, and executive-level reports for senior leadership.
- Oversee regular audits, quality assurance checks, documentation, and compliance processes.
Primary Work Location, Hours & Travel Requirements: Office Location: Phoenix Campus (3110 N Central Ave Suite G-125, Phoenix, AZ 85012) Work Hours: Standard office hours; they may be required to work occasional evening or weekend hours. Travel: Up to 25%. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 8-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in admissions, enrollment management, or related areas.
- Minimum of 5 years overseeing senior-level teams and complex enrollment operations.
- Demonstrated success leading data-driven strategies and enrollment performance improvement.
- Experience with CRM and student information systems (Slate, Salesforce, Ellucian, etc.).
- Strong understanding of enrollment marketing practices, funnel optimization, and digital recruitment trends.
- Exceptional analytical, operational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-focused, technology-supported online university environment.
