The Strategy and Business Development department of the Hydrogen and Data Centers Business Unit, part of the EDP group, is looking for a Data Centers Strategy & Business Development Expert.



What you will do:



  • Track regulatory developments, market trends, and competitive activity to support accurate market intelligence for the data center opportunity pipeline.
  • Conduct research and preliminary analysis to help identify and screen new project opportunities, including early stage assessments.
  • Evaluate project concepts and power sourcing strategies, preparing supporting materials and coordinating inputs from internal technical, regulatory, and commercial teams.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, trackers, and coordination workflows across the H2 & DC Business Unit and regional teams.
  • Prepare draft presentations, reports, and briefing materials for internal meetings and selected external engagements under senior guidance.
  • Interact with external stakeholders-such as project developers, partners, and customers-by coordinating information requests, meeting preparation, and follow ups.
  • Provide analytical inputs for internal strategic discussions, planning exercises, and portfolio reviews.

Work site: Hybrid Model

City: Houston, TX, Houston (preferably) but may be other cities



What are we looking for:



  • University Degree, preferable in engineering, economics or management,
  • At least 6 years of experience in the energy sector, preferably in a similar role,
  • Deep knowledge of the energy markets and regulations, with a strong focus on the power market dynamics in the decarbonization context, and of the business models of different technologies (wind, solar, storage, electrolyzers),
  • Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and in public speaking,
  • Availability for frequent travelling (flexibility required),
  • Strong analytical, teamwork and communication skill,
  • Fluency in English
