Data Centers Strategy & Business Development Senior Specialist

The Strategy and Business Development department of the Hydrogen and Data Centers Business Unit, part of the EDP group, is looking for a Data Centers Strategy & Business Development Senior Specialist.



What you will do:



  • Monitor regulatory updates, market developments, and industry news, preparing summaries that support market intelligence and opportunity identification.
  • Conduct basic research on companies, projects, and sector developments, organizing information into structured inputs for early stage assessments.
  • Assist in advancing early stage projects by gathering required information, updating project files, and preparing supporting materials.
  • Engage with internal teams (technical, regulatory, commercial, development) to collect inputs, clarify data needs, track outstanding items, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain project trackers, documentation repositories, and workflow tools to provide accurate and up to date visibility on project status.
  • Support the preparation of internal presentations, reports, and briefing materials by assembling data, drafting basic content, and formatting materials.
  • Coordinate logistics for internal and selected external meetings, including scheduling, agendas, notes, and tracking follow up actions.
  • Assist in managing information exchanges with external stakeholders by preparing materials, organizing documents, and ensuring proper record keeping.

Work site: Hybrid Model

City: Houston, TX, Houston (preferably) but may be other cities



What are we looking for:



  • University Degree, preferable in engineering, economics or management,
  • At least 4 years of experience in the energy sector, preferably in a similar role,
  • Knowledge of the energy markets and regulations, with a strong focus on the power market dynamics in the decarbonization context,
  • Availability for frequent travelling (flexibility required),
  • Strong analytical, teamwork and communication skill,
  • Fluency in English.
