Role Summary

The Vice President, Global New Product Innovation serves as the enterprise-wide leader responsible for shaping, advancing, and operationalizing the organization's long term innovation strategy. Focus is the US market across all classes of trade. This executive identifies, incubates, and scales both sustainable and transformational product opportunities that strengthen the portfolio, accelerate growth, and build sustainable competitive advantage.

In partnership with regional leaders, R&D, consumer insights, supply chain, and commercial teams, the VP oversees the end-to-end innovation lifecycle-from white space identification and concept creation to commercialization, and transfer to global teams. This role ensures the portfolio remains future focused, consumercentric, and aligned with the company's strategic, financial, and brand objectives across all price tiers and categories.

Work Model: This a hybrid role, requiring in-person attendance at our Ewing, NJ office.

Core Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Define and lead the enterprise's innovation vision, long range pipeline, and multiyear roadmap to deliver incremental revenue, margin expansion, and portfolio modernization.
  • Anticipate macro trends, emerging technologies, regulatory shifts, and consumer behavioral evolution to identify white space opportunities across categories and geographies.
  • Establish innovation governance frameworks, stage gate processes, and investment prioritization to ensure disciplined, datadriven portfolio decisions and execution.

Opportunity Identification & Concept Development

  • Lead cross functional exploration of new product platforms, technologies, formats, and business models that enhance brand relevance and unlock new profit opportunities.
  • Translate insights into actionable concepts, prototypes, and testing strategies grounded in consumer desirability, technical feasibility, and commercial viability.

Pipeline Sufficiency, Resourcing & Financial Impact

  • Working with R&D, ensure global innovation pipeline sufficiency in terms of revenue, scale, and timing to deliver near term and long-term corporate goals.
  • Partner with Finance to build business cases, optimize portfolio mix, assess incrementality, and mitigate margin dilution.
  • Champion resource allocation-talent, investment, capability building-to support high value opportunities.

Commercialization & Launch Excellence

  • Oversee go-to market strategies for innovation initiatives, including positioning, pricing, brand architecture integration, and launch sequencing.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to tailor execution plans while maintaining brand consistency and leveraging global scale.
  • Establish post-launch evaluation metrics and feedback loops to optimize performance and accelerate learning.

Insights, Foresight & Competitive Intelligence

  • Direct advanced analytics, consumer insight programs, and trend forecasting to continuously monitor competitive dynamics and market forces shaping demand.
  • Use data driven insights to influence corporate strategy, R&D investments, brand architecture, and portfolio priorities.

CrossFunctional & Executive Leadership

  • Serve as a senior advisor to the executive, Marketing, and R&D teams and a key contributor to enterprise strategic planning, including assessment of partnership, licensing, and M&A opportunities related to innovation.
  • Build and lead a team of innovation, insights, and commercialization professionals-fostering a culture of creativity, experimentation, and disciplined execution.
  • Influence without authority across global functions to drive alignment, collaboration, and accountability.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • BA/BS required; advanced degree (MBA, MS in Innovation/Design Thinking/Business Strategy) strongly preferred.
  • 18+ years of progressive leadership experience in global innovation, new product development, or portfolio strategy within CPG, OTC, consumer health, beauty/cosmetics, or adjacent industries.
  • Proven success leading end-to-end complex global innovation pipelines across multiple categories, including white space identification, concept creation, and large scale commercialization.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including full P&L exposure and experience building investment cases and managing portfolio profitability.
  • Deep expertise in consumer insights, design thinking, research methodologies, and trend forecasting.
  • Track record of building, mentoring, and inspiring high performing global teams.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically, act decisively, and communicate effectively across all levels and functions within the organization - with goal of driving consensus and executing with speed and excellence.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-353,100.

U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
