Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Patrol in Bridgewater, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help spot and report security-related concerns. You will remain highly visible, control access points as needed, and support visitors and employees with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and delivery traffic; verify identification and/or access authorization; and assist with visitor management processes in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete accurate logs and reports, operate site communication equipment, and report hazards, spills, unusual odors, or other abnormal conditions to the appropriate site representative per procedure.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
