Description

This role provides administrative and analytical support for Trex's compensation programs. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day compensation processes, conducting financial analyses, and ensuring alignment with market trends and best practices.This role will interact directly with Business Leaders of all levels of the company to provide consultative support and guidance in relation to Trex's compensation programs and best practices.The role supports efforts to attract, retain, and engage top talent through competitive and equitable compensation strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage compensation programs, including base pay, bonuses, commissions, and long-term incentives, ensuring alignment with company goals for recruitment, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Analyze existing programs for effectiveness and present recommendations for changes to senior leadership.
  • Design and communicate pay structures, salary grades, compensation budgets, and guidelines to determine appropriate pay mix for roles across the organization.
  • Advise managers on compensation decisions that balance employee engagement, budgetary guidelines, and company policies while ensuring appropriate pay structures.
  • Evaluate jobs, collaborate on job descriptions, and support job architecture efforts to align with organizational design and workforce planning.
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver employee-facing compensation communications, including total rewards statements, merit increase notifications, bonus and incentive award statements, and other pay-related materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with company messaging and policies.
  • Participate in compensation surveys, conduct market research, and analyze pay equity and compensation trends to ensure competitiveness.
  • Monitor industry trends and ensure compensation programs remain aligned with organizational objectives and best practices.
  • Develop cost estimates and financial impact analyses for compensation initiatives, presenting data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Conduct market pricing for salaried and hourly positions to guide merit reviews, promotions, and overall compensation strategies.
  • Provide analytical support for various compensation projects, including data management, audits, reporting, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver training on compensation-related matters to employees, supervisors, and managers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with 5 plus years of experience in the administration of compensation programs. A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.



  • Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
    • Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Competency in benchmarking, job evaluation, market pricing, salary plan administration, budgeting, relationship management, and driving pay programs.


  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.

At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
