JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Animal Diagnostic Laboratory (ADL) is seeking a temporary, part-time Research Assistant to serve in the Muthuraj research laboratory in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences. The position is for summer/fall 2026. Primary duties include assisting with bacterial cultures, maintaining culture stocks, perform antimicrobial sensitivity testing. Other daily duties will include sample receipt and processing, recordkeeping, organization, establish/modify testing SOPS as well as general duties such as restocking supplies. The successful candidates must be extremely organized, have excellent laboratory technique, be able to follow established testing SOPs. A B.S. degree in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred or a significant progress towards a B.S degree and experience in microbiology and molecular biology techniques. Scheduling is flexible; however, it is expected that part-time employees commit to working approximately 20 hours per week.
