About the Role

The Director of Insurance Services provides executive leadership for First Western's insurance business, overseeing operations, product strategy, sales enablement, and team performance. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory standards, manages operational workflows, and strengthens internal insurance capabilities across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with Wealth and Fiduciary leadership to support revenue growth, client experience, and integrated planning solutions. The position also leads business development initiatives, operational enhancements, and strategic planning for the insurance platform.

What You'll Do



  • Develop and execute FWT's insurance strategy to drive growth and align with organizational objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the insurance team to ensure highquality service delivery.
  • Oversee daily insurance operations, workflows, and process optimization.
  • Engage in sales and client service efforts to support revenue generation and partner teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
  • Manage insurance budget planning and financial performance.
  • Oversee development of insurance collateral, training materials, and internal resources.



What You Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (required).
  • 10-15 years of relevant insurance services experience (required).
  • 5-7 years of supervisory or leadership experience (required).
  • Deep knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and advanced case design.
  • Strong understanding of how insurance integrates with wealth, trust, and retirement planning.
  • Proven ability to drive growth, revenue, and operational excellence.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • Advanced financial, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts.
