Description Job Description Pay Range: $98,200.00 to $122,750.00 per year The General Production Manager (GPM) is responsible for overseeing the various department(s) of responsibility and for meeting Department/Company goals and standards on quality, yield, productivity, cost, and safety. Responsible for the development and training of Supervisors and TEAM members, working within the guidelines of Company Policies, to meet the current and future needs of the Company. Responsible for quick and timely feedback to Plant/Shift Manager on all exceptions regarding productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost and safety, and managing the correction of areas which are out of acceptable parameters. Ensure department compliance within Company policies, law, and regulations which include USDA, SSOP and HACCP programs, and all OSHA required safety programs. Ensure the safety of our TEAM members is maintained by overseeing the administration of safety orientations, training, and meetings as required, to assist in attaining zero incidents. Participate in department meetings in the planning process, along with the testing and development of techniques/processes. Ensure proper maintenance of Company assets; make recommendations for acquiring necessary items to support business objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field preferred, and/or equivalent work experience Must have a minimum of five years of experience in the poultry processing industry with progressively increased responsibility Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills Must be able to evaluate supervision fairly and objectively Must exhibit strong leadership skills/internal drive to succeed Must be able to prioritize and adjust quickly to a changing work environment with minimal supervision, to meet changing production needs Must have advanced problem-solving skills and be able to make independent decisions Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
